Third World Medicine – Pro Bono

Dr. Thomas P. Williams, a Dubuque oral surgeon, will talk about the impact on his life journey of providing pro bono oral surgeries in third world countries.

In addition, joining us from Germany, Cassandra Hoffman, Laura Hoffman’s daughter, will provide music for the service on Sunday. Cassie shared with us that she has been reading about Ruth Bader Ginsburg this past week: “She was a music lover, and especially loved opera. One article I read quoted someone who had seen her tearful, heartfelt response to a performance of Kurt Weill’s Lost in the Stars. For many years, I sang the title song in a staged piece of Weill’s music, with Mascha Kaleko’s poetry performed by an actor.” We look forward to Cassie singing Lost in the Stars as a tribute to RBG.
