Wednesday Evening at the Movies
Join us in the basement of the UUFD at 6:30 p.m. sharp on May 23 for “Temple Grandin,” a highly-praised biopic about one of the first individuals on the autism spectrum to publicly share insights from her personal experience. The movie won seven Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actress for Claire Danes. It tells the story of Temple Grandin, Ph.D., who, thanks to devoted parents and caring teachers, became one of the top scientists in the humane livestock handling industry, and author of books including Thinking in Pictures and Animals Make Us Human. She is a champion of “neurodiversity” and travels the country to advocate for people across the autism spectrum. Enjoy snacks and fellowship along with the movie.
