Please join us for the return of Historic District Coffeehouse at the UUFD after its summer break.  It will be held on Saturday, September 22, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.  This Saturday’s event is one of those featured in Dubuque’s week-long celebration of the International Day of Peace and, as such, will feature songs and poetry about peace and justice.

Hearkening back to the coffeehouses of the 1960s, The Historic District Coffeehouse is a free and welcoming venue for music and spoken word performers of all experience levels. Musicians and spoken word artists are asked to call ahead if possible, but walk-ins are also welcome, if there is room on the lineup. Contact Bruce Schmidt at 608-220-3067 or email, or call Art Roche at 563-581-6521 if you are interested in performing. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy free coffee, snacks and the show!  Freewill donations go to the Dubuque Food Pantry.

Pick up a copy of the new 365Ink paper, available free all over the Tri-States, for a story about the Coffeehouse on page 10!
