Annual Camp Courageous Pancake Breakfast & Open House

 

The Annual Camp Courageous Pancake Breakfast and Open House will be held Sunday, September 30, from 8:00 AM to noon in the camp’s main lodge. A hot breakfast of pancakes, pork sausage, coffee, juice and milk will be served. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for those under 12.

Live music will be performed at the Sill Barn by the Dixie-Notes-Plus at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 am. A Live Reenactment Train Robbery by the Red Cedar Regulators will be at the train depot at 9, 9:45, and 11:45 am.

Tours of the grounds, the super-zip, and bounce house will be available for guests to enjoy (weather permitting). Come for the ride of your life on the Super-Zip! Camp Courageous Fruitcakes will also be for sale for $10 each in the main lodge. This year, the Open House will feature the camp’s Solar Project and the Building of the new Maintenance Shop. When touring the Durgin Pavilion, be sure to try out the bowling alley.

Camp Courageous is a year-round respite and recreational facility for youth and adults with disabilities. Camp is run primarily on donations, with no formal sponsorship, government assistance, or paid fundraisers. This year, Camp will serve over 8,000 individuals with special needs.
